How to export applicants from Breezy HR to CSV

Breezy is one of the easier systems: the export is a menu item on the candidate list itself, it works per position, and the file downloads as CSV with whichever columns you have showing.

Steps

  1. Open the position and go to its Candidates view. (Clicking Candidates in the left sidebar gives the company-wide list instead, which you can filter by position.)
  2. Apply any filters you want, for example to leave out candidates you have already rejected.
  3. Tick the checkbox in the column heading to select every candidate in the list, or tick candidates one by one.
  4. Open the Columns drop-down near the top of the window and make sure name, email, phone, the applied or created date, and stage are showing. The export contains exactly the columns on screen.
  5. Open the More drop-down and choose Export Candidates, then follow the prompts to save the CSV.

A large export is prepared in the background and Breezy emails you when it is ready. Smaller ones download at once.

Who can run it: a Hiring Manager on the position can export its candidates; exporting company-wide needs Admin access. Hiring-team Members get a limited version of the list and may not see every column.

What the export does not include

The résumés themselves. If you include the Resume column it holds a link to a PDF, not the document, and questionnaire answers are a separate export. Neither is needed to screen contact details.

Then

Upload the file to ApplySift. Because the columns are whatever you chose, ApplySift reads the headers and guesses which is email, phone and name; when it is not sure it shows the headers and lets you pick before it scores.
